High School Distance Learning Students:
Some of you have chosen the distance learning option for this year. McLoud’s distance learning will be facilitated by the teachers through Google Classroom. You will be receiving invitations to join each of your teachers Google Classrooms. This is where you will be receiving and submitting your assignments. There are some resources available on the McLoud website to help with google classroom if needed. Go to mcloudschools.us and choose the menu, click on distance learning then how to and help, there will be a few links to help. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Eddings (jeddings@mcloudschools.us) or Mr. Jennings (bjennings@mcloudschools.us).
Remainder of high school on-site plan.
Good evening Redskins! I hope everyone is ready to begin school on Monday! I want to reassure our students and parents that we are going to do everything possible to protect our students and staff. I can assure you, our staff has worked very diligently trying to prepare ourselves for the arrival of our students and we can't wait to see you!
Students, we are going to need your help as we navigate these uncharted waters. The protocols that we are following are for your safety and the safety of our teachers and support staff. Please take the time to read through our On-Site Plan and familiarize yourself with the procedures that will be in place. The areas I ask you to pay particular attention to are the Face Masks / Shields section, the Student Arrival in the Morning section, and the Passing Period section. If we can get onto campus in an orderly fashion, we will have the opportunity to talk about the rest of the protocols at class meetings on the first day of school. This plan is the way we will start the school year and is subject to change at any time.
Parents, we are asking you for help as well. We will have students who are in a traditional classroom setting and students who are distance learners and our staff is going to do their best to serve both! With that being said, there are going to be bumps in the road. I read a post a few days ago that said the three most important school supplies for this school year will be patience, flexibility, and grace! Please try to remember this as we move forward with the school year. If you have questions feel free to call the high school office at 405-964-3314.
McLoud Intermediate ribbon cutting! Beautiful facility! Thank you patrons of McLoud!
The start of school is just around the corner! McLoud Public Schools is taking every precaution to keep students and staff safe and healthy. We will be fogging buildings and buses with anti-microbial, cleaning bathrooms regularly, wiping and spraying surfaces more often, and scheduling hand-washing times. We will be sanitizing throughout the day and doing deep cleanings on Fridays. Hand sanitizer will be available, however,at this time, we encourage students to carry their own personal-sized bottle of hand sanitizer to use throughout the day. Stay safe and we will see you Monday!
McLoud Schools will be offering a bus route for students in town. If you want your student to be able to ride this bus please email Jeff Kleckner at jkleckner@mcloudschools.us.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony this evening at 5:30 at the new Intermediate School. The building will be open to tour from 5:30-7:00. We ask that guests wear a mask and practice social distancing. Come see this beautiful new school!
