McLoud Family,
Our transportation director has been working diligently today with the superintendent to address a bus driver shortage due to Covid-19 quarantine protocol. We are sorry to announce that at this time, we will be unable to run routes for bus 5 and bus 14 for the remainder of this week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our students and families. We understand some students may need to make arrangements with the office to resume work via our distance learning or make other arrangements for school work. Please contact your student's office to make any necessary arrangements. Again, our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We simply do not have drivers to cover the routes.
Good afternoon MHS students and parents! Parents, we need your help! If your student has a Chromebook checked out and it is sitting at your house, please send it back tomorrow along with the charger. Some of our rooms are running very short on computers at this point. We need these computers so that each student has one each day in class! Thank you for your help with this!
McLoud Family - bus 14 will be running late today.
Reminder:
Only two spectators per participant are allowed at athletic events.

Good morning MHS students and parents! We will be returning to traditional learning tomorrow and we are ready to see our students back in the building! Please try to complete the work that has been assigned to you so that you are not counted absent. You must complete at least 50% of the assignments to be counted present for the day! Our staff made MANY phone calls home to parents and sent MANY emails informing parents if your student was not working. In some cases it made a difference and unfortunately in some cases it didn't. Please understand that if your student did nothing for these two weeks, they will have accumulated eight absences.
We will be moving forward with new material and even beginning our NWEA testing this week to try to gather data to help us remediate students in areas of deficiencies. If your student is a virtual learner, we will be contacting you to try to set up a time for your student to come up and test.
If you have a Chromebook checked out, PLEASE bring it back tomorrow so that we have enough in class to be able to conduct in person learning and every student has the access they need. Thank you and have a great Sunday!
Redskins fall to Okemah in the finals of the 66 tournament 69-72. Very well played game!
McLoud girls pull off exciting win!
Dear MJH Parents,
Looking forward to traditional learning on Monday. Please make sure students have completed ALL work. Many students switched to packets and did not have this approved by their teachers and may cause absences and zeroes to be recorded.
Digital learning through Google Classroom is the recommended platform for each classroom for virtual and/or distance learning. Teachers can give immediate feedback here, provide videos for instruction, and it is time stamped for reference. We are willing to provide packets for students that need that modification such as Internet issues, disabilities, and special circumstances. This needs to be approved by your child's teacher so that they don't have to wonder if a student is participating in work or not. Packets are similar or the same as the Google Classroom assignments and are not "easier" than digital lessons as some of our kiddos think.
Anyone that dropped off packet work last week and this week was placed in teachers' mailboxes as late as yesterday so that attendance could be captured. If your student's packet work isn't in on Monday, that will cause your child to be recorded as an absence for that class for that day. Remember that the expectation is for your student to do 50% or more of each daily assignment to be "present" for that day in EACH class. We will hit it hard with new instruction on Monday so please make sure students don't think we will have a "catch up week".
Our teachers put in a significant amount of time this week contacting parents and students. Many personal phone calls were made to touch base. Many emails were sent out from teachers if your child was missing work. Your child's teachers want your child to succeed. We are here to help.
We will also be conducting our winter NWEA assessments to identify student growth and areas of need. Please know that we use this data to remediate students in areas of deficiencies. Remind your students to take this seriously and be present Wednesday and Thursday if possible. Your child's report for these will go out during parent teacher conferences in February and your child's teacher will go over these with you.
If your child is a virtual learner, we need to set up a time for you to come to the building and test. Expect a call from Mrs. Haley, our RTI specialist, after this week. If your child is enrolled in the virtual program, make sure that you have communicated with Mrs. Halferty, as we have made changes to codes and teachers for second semester.
Lastly, semester grade reports will go home with your child on Monday. As always you and your child can always access grades through Wengage daily. We have guided and taught students how to do this as well. If you need a password reset, please email Mrs. Bigham and she can help you out.
Please continue to watch for symptoms and communicate with the school of your student is sick or exposed so that we can keep our staff and students as well as possible.
Have an amazing weekend!!
