Back To School Bash for high school students only! Thursday August 26th from 7:00-9:00 in front of the secondary cafeteria. Clubs will be set up to recruit students and encourage them to be active in our school. Mr. Tony's Snow Cones will be there so bring money for Snow Cones! Mr. Thompson will have music playing! The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. Eligible households can receive:
· Up to a $50/month discount on your broadband service and associated equipment rentals
· Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
· A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)
Households can qualify for the temporary assistance in a number of ways, such as through the use of existing assistance programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Lifeline or if a child received reduced-price school meals programs in the last two school years. The Emergency Broadband Benefit is also available to households who are eligible for a broadband provider’s existing COVID relief program, to those who have received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year, and to those low-income households who suffered a significant loss in income during the pandemic due to job loss or furlough since February 29, 2020.

Intermediate parents, we are excited to tell you about our Character Trait of the Month. This month Intermediate students will be learning about and working on the trait of Cooperation. Mrs. Murdock has exciting lessons she will be teaching in each classroom, and students will be encouraged to practice Cooperation everywhere they go. The entire month of August we will be working on how to apply this skill at school, home, and in our community.
