There will be a mandatory meeting for all incoming 7th-12th grade players and parents on Monday, May 9th at 5:00 PM at the secondary cafeteria. There you will receive information about the program as well as upcoming summer dates. We look forward to seeing you there!
In the event of a tornado threat, the safe rooms at the secondary and elementary campuses will be opened. Stay safe!

Another big Thank you to our Elementary PTA. Today they provided our teachers with popcorn galore and an inspiring card for each person. We are so thankful for all the support they give us!
Please help us in welcoming Mr. Coleman Ramsey! Mr. Ramsey will join McLoud Public Schools as a secondary teacher and football coach for the 2022-2023 school year. Mr. Ramsey has served as a very successful offensive coordinator at Westmoore and Norman prior to accepting the position at McLoud.
In a special board meeting today at noon, bonds were issued by Zack Robinson with the Bank of Oklahoma. These bonds are part of the 2017 bond issue used to build the Intermediate School. Mr. Robinson and Superintendent Hockenbury consulted with the district's auditor prior to issuing the bonds to assure the millage rate for the district would return to the previous 13 mills.
The $1.6 million bonds will be sold in June and will be a two levy collection. The district no longer uses Stephen L. Smith Corp. after the previous bond sales caused the millage rate in the district to rise to 41 mills. The new tax rate will be set in late August or early September after valuations are done and The Estimate of Needs is completed by the district auditor. The district will publish that information once it becomes available.

Congratulations to Launa Troutt and Chelsie Wright for placing at the Westmoore Freestyle wrestling tournament. Chelsie took 2nd and Launa took 4th.
We had a great 6th grade tour today despite the rain!!! Upcoming seventh graders were able to tour the JH, check out the cafeteria, and take a bus tour through the campus. Our leaders were NJHS and STUCCO members. Parents and students are invited tonight from 4-6 for a tour and to check out resources.
Don't forget our Parent Night tonight at MJH. We will watch the weather and plan accordingly. We have pre-enrollment open as well and we can assist with password help if needed.

Congratulations to the High School Archery team for placing 9th at the 2022 NASP Western National Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are very proud of the students for representing our school system and the state of Oklahoma.
