McLoud Public Schools

Good afternoon MHS students and parents! Tomorrow we begin a new school year! We are looking forward to the new year and seeing everyone in the building for the first time in quite some time! We all know that last year had it's own special set of challenges and unfortunately, some of those challenges will still be around this year. We are going to meet those challenges head on again and do our best to provide our students with a quality, face-to-face education! Masks are recommended but not required this year. If it makes you more comfortable to wear a mask, then please do so! We will continue to promote hand washing, give hand sanitizer when students enter the classroom, and cleaning Chromebooks after each class period. We will be encouraging social distancing when possible. These are just a continuation of some of the precautions that we put into place last school year. Please understand, your student will NOT be allowed to begin class tomorrow if you have not completed the on-line enrollment process! We still have many students with obligations. Most of these obligations are books and Chromebooks. Please return these items tomorrow when you arrive at school. Students with obligations will be sent to Mrs. Delfs in the High School West building when they arrive at school tomorrow. Again, we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

McLoud Family, As the first day of school quickly approaches, I would like to express how excited we are to have staff and students back on campus and in buildings. There is nothing more exciting to me than the start of a new school year. McLoud Public Schools has added some fabulous people to our already amazing staff. We hope you will welcome them and introduce yourselves when you see new faces on our campuses. We will begin the school year operating under our current Return to School Plan. This plan outlines practices and procedures as they relate to Covid-19. The plan will be regularly updated to reflect state and local guidelines as well as State Department and Health Department recommendations. The plan can be found on our school website. Our goal is to grow each and every student that walks through our doors. We will be focusing on student academic growth as well as social and emotional well-being. MAPS/NWEA, State Assessments, classroom evaluations, and observations will assist us to guide our instruction and meet the various needs of every student. We hope by partnering together with families and the community that our students will flourish throughout the year. Site administrators and counselors throughout the district are available to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Good morning! Just a quick reminder! It will be hot but we will have the fans on and cookies will be served! Freshman orientation is Tuesday evening, July 27th at 6:00 PM! Mrs. Dennis, the Freshman counselor will speak about ICAP and Oklahoma's Promise, Mrs. Eddings and Mr. Jennings will introduce themselves and go over parts of the handbook that you may need to know. There will be time for questions and answers and the opportunity to walk the campus and familiarize yourself with where your classes are. YOU MUST BRING A CURRENT UTILITY BILL TO RECEIVE YOUR SCHEDULE!

Intermediate parents, starting on 7/29, students that are fully enrolled will begin receiving calls from their homeroom teachers. If you are having trouble with enrollment please come by our office for assistance.

Community Health Assessment

McLoud Touchdown Club is seeking businesses in the community and surrounding area who would like to advertise and sponsor a banner at the football field.  Please reach out to a football parent or Coach Hall rhall@mcloudschools.us.  This is a great way to support our players and the community who participate in football.

Parent/guardians wanting to enroll students new to McLoud for grades 7-8 should contact kbigham@mcloudschools.us for information and login for the online enrollment. Please email ahalferty@mcloudschools.us to set up an appointment with our counselor. Parent Night for JH students and their parent/guardians will be on July 28 at 6:00 in the Secondary cafeteria. Schedules for returning students whose parent/guardians have completed the online enrollment will be available on July 26-28 from 8:00-3:00 in the JH OFFICE. You will need to bring ID, current bill, and fill out a home language survey (in office). You may also bring physicals as well. Online enrollment for JH school is open and available (go to the McLoud website, click on the menu and scroll down to JH School). Any parent/guardian needing a log in or additional information pertaining to the online enrollment should contact kbigham@mcloudschools.us. School Supply items are attached. Intermediate Parents, this is a friendly reminder that online enrollment is open. Enrollment must be completed for your child to be placed In a class. If you have a new student, please contact lpeterman@mcloudschools.us for assistance. We will be back in office starting Monday and will be ready to help any way we can.

Intermediate Parents, our Meet Your Teacher Night will be August 2nd from 6:00-7:30pm. Your child will be able to bring their supplies and meet their teacher. We look forward to seeing them!

HIGH SCHOOL ENROLLMENT, FRESHMAN ORIENTATION, AND SCHEDULE PICK UP INFORMATION McLoud High School JUL 12, 2021 Parent/guardians wanting to enroll students new to McLoud for grades 9-12 should contact saubert@mcloudschools.us for information and login for the online enrollment and to set up an appointment with the high school counselors. Orientation for Freshmen (9th grade) students and their parent/guardians will be on July 27 at 6:00 in the High School gym. Schedules for returning students whose parent/guardians have completed the online enrollment will be available on July 29 from 8:00-3:30 in the High School East offices. Online enrollment for high school is open and available (go to the McLoud website, click on the menu and scroll down to High School and look for High School Enrollment for 9th through 12th). Supply items: Art or painting - will need a sketchbook that is standard paper size or bigger

Intermediate parents, attached is information for our office hours, back to school date, and school supply lists. We will be back in office and ready to assist you starting July 19th.

ECC, Elementary, and Intermediate families. The yearbook pickup for today has been cancelled due to weather concerns. The next pickup will be July 5th 6-8 pm. Sorry about the inconvenience, but this decision was made based on the storms and safety concerns.
